Badlands

My family and I took a two-and-a-half week drive across the country to help my grandparents move into their new home in California, and we stopped at various sites along the way. This is one of my better photos of the Badlands, an interesting place full of colorful rock strata and prairie dogs. Lots of prairie dogs. Also, plains. After staring around a lot of flat grass for a while, I began to fully understand and appreciate why people would take to wearing funny hats and shooting things.
